The truth of the matter is that everything doesn’t run perfectly all the time. I, personally, hate paperwork and sometimes my inbox is filled with hundreds of e-mails that need sorting.
My favorite part about being an acupuncturist is TREATING PATIENTS and getting good results.

Auriculo 3D is one of my favorite acupuncture tools. It is well organized, easy to use, saves me time, makes my work more effective, and yes—I even get hugs because of it. Let me show you how that works.
Case Study:
A 54-year-old female patient presented with bilateral hip pain, along with pain in the biceps and triceps of both arms. Her condition was chronic for approximately 3 months.
TCM Diagnosis: Spleen qi deficiency, dampness in the lower jiao, a belt block, and blood stagnation in the Small Intestine and Urinary Bladder channels.
Treatment:
- First visit: Some improvement.
- Second visit: Did well for about 3 days but the pain came back.
- Third visit: Hip pain was gone, but pain in the arms was not getting better.
- Fourth visit: I reinforced what had been done previously for her hips, but focused my treatment on her arms. After pulling needles from her arms, using a liniment, and doing some massage, she didn’t get ANY relief.
By this point, she was feeling a bit discouraged. I was also feeling dismayed for that matter. So I decided to try one last treatment option.
I pulled out my StimPlus Pro and found the active points on the right ear that corresponded to her arm pain and placed ear seeds on those points. When she lifted her arm, she gave me a shocked look and said: “My pain is gone.” Then she tried lifting the left arm, but the pain was still there.
I told her not to worry and repeated the procedure on the left ear. When she got off the table, she was so happy, because she was PAIN FREE in BOTH ARMS. I gave her instructions to go home and press on the ear seeds if she felt the pain return, and rescheduled her for the following week.
You know what happened next, right? The HUG!

Hi Kimberly, what tools do you usually use for Auriculo therapy?I saw some tools like the Laser pens and recently your article mentioned about ear seeds? I would like to introduce Auriculo therapy in my practice and would like to know the tools available besides acupuncture needles.

My favorite tool is ear seeds. They are non-invasive, easy to put on, and very inexpensive. I love to use our Auriculo PC program for a quick reference for protocols or point selection. Patients are empowered when you send them home with ear seeds because they can continue to self-treat from home until I see them again. This is especially effective for patients who are experiencing chronic pain.
Many practitioners also use the laser and get good results.
