Okay, so an acupuncturist and a patient are hanging out in an acupuncture clinic. The practitioner finishes up the treatment by putting radish seeds in the patient’s ear to extend the treatment. The patient says: How long should I leave the ear seeds in my ear? The practitioner answers:
Wait for it….
Typically, ear seeds are left in up to a week. But you know, they are radish seeds… So, IF you start growing RADISHES in your EARS, by all means take them out and give me a call!
Yep, that was my corny joke for the day. You’ll have to cut me a little slack. I just can’t help myself! Right now, Auriculo 3D is the BIG BUZZ around the office. We are really EXCITED because soon we will be (or finally we are) releasing Auriculo 3D in multiple languages!
English
Spanish
Portuguese
German
French
Now you can see why we’re so excited! Since Auriuclo was my first project at Miridia, I can honestly say that I have studied it in depth for the last 2 1/2 years. Auriculotherapy has become a part of me. But, more importantly, it has become an integrated part of my practice. Patients get better faster because I add auriculotherapy into every treatment.
Often, practitioners will call to ask me which type of treatment is the more effective for Auriculotherapy.
- Needles?
- Seeds?
- Pellets?
- Tacks?
- Electrical Stimulation?
- Laser?
Because I hear feedback and success stories from an array of practitioners, all around the world, I can honestly say:
All of the above!
The bottom line is, Auriculotherapy is amazing and it WORKS–regardless of the form of treatment that you choose! How you treat will depend on where you live and your scope of practice. I get phone calls and emails all the way from India thanking us for Auriculo 3D. Some of these practitioners can only use laser for treatment because they don’t have other resources available to them. Their success stories are still amazing.
I, personally, love to use seeds. Seeds are easy and inexpensive. I don’t have to worry about leaving an invasive item in the ear that could cause infection. Sending a patient home with seeds in their ear gives them a sense of ownership in their treatment. I encourage them to push on the seeds to stimulate the auricular points as symptoms begin to reoccur. This is an amazing tool for patients with chronic health problems.
Below, you will find links to some of the blogs that I have written over the last couple of years regarding how I use auriculotherapy in my practice. AcuGraph 3D makes it really easy to add Auriculotherapy into every treatment.
Have a great week. Things are going to be REALLY busy around here!
