Wow, I’ve had a couple of really stressful days–leading to feelings of anger and frustration. This morning when I came into the office, I decided I needed some acupuncture. Dr. Larsen has been really busy and I hated to bother him–so I opted for a quick Auriculotherapy treatment.
After he teased me a bit for coming to work cranky, we did a quick search for ANGER in our Auriculo 360 program, and came up with a list of points to check:
Aggressivity: Regulates aggressive behavior, withdrawal symptoms of drug abuse, ANGER, rage, frustration, manic behavior.
Amygdala: Affects the area of the brain controlling behavioral and psychiatric conditions: anxiety, fear, aggressiveness, ANGER, gut response, and uncontrollable sexual desires.
Liver: The liver stores the blood, ensures a smooth flow of qi, controls the sinews, manifests in the nails, opens into the eyes, and controls the tears. Treats menstrual disorders, ANGER, irritability, frustration; tendon or ligament pain, vision problems; dry, burning or itching eyes; floaters, myopia, dry or watery eyes. Treats nausea, vomiting, acid reflux and belching from Liver invading the stomach. ANGER, resentment, stubbornness, repressed ANGER and rage, irrational frustration, aggression.
Liver Yang 1 and 2: Liver qi stagnation leads to liver yang rising. This point descends liver yang and treats vertex headache, hypertension, explosive ANGER, rage, facial redness, eye twitching, vertigo, spasms, convulsions, facial tics.
*Nervous Liver: This point I added into Auriculo 360 myself. See it below! I learned this point from Paul Maybee at the Asian Integrative Symposium. It is from the German auricular system–and Paul says it is EXCELLENT for ANGER.
We used the Stimplus Pro to search for my ANGRY points. Guess how many were active? ALL of them!
I love the Stimplus Pro. Auricular points only become electrically active if your body matches the symptoms. The ear does not lie! StimPlus confirmed that the crankiness I was feeling was REAL! (And we immediately treated the problem without needles.)
I’ve always loved my Stimplus Pro as a practitioner. Today, I loved it as a patient. I may have started my day cranky, but I’m going home HAPPY. Don’t you just love our medicine?
Hope your day is HAPPY too!
