Adrian: So Kimberly here in AcuGraph our tagline is “Know, Show, and Grow.” Know refers to having better insight to give a better treatment. Show refers to being able to educate the patients more effectively. And Grow of course, refers to practice growth success. So I want to hear from you just the highlights about how each one of those manifest in your practice. Let’s start with Know.
Kimberly: Acugraph helps me on a clinical basis, obviously. I studied Chinese Medicine for a very long time, and I try to tell my patients that my job is to be an engineer, and to see all of the intricate details of their body, and how the channel pathways work. And so AcuGraph gives me the bigger picture by being able to look at the external pathways, the internal pathways, the musculo-skeletal pathways, how all the channels interconnect with each other, and it gives me a bigger picture to understand what’s going on in their bodies.
Adrian: And so that takes us right to Show, you can take that same bigger picture and show your patients. How does that work in your practice?
Kimberly: Absolutely, I remember before AcuGraph trying to explain Chinese Medicine in a quick, couple of little sentences so that I can move on to treatment. Now the patient sits there and they’re fascinated because I can show them how energy is supposed to run through the body. And how when their deficiencies and excesses, how it causes symptoms. And it has been phenomenal in them understanding what my goal is for treatment and building their trust in me.
Adrian: Wonderful. So tell us about Grow, how does this help your practice grow?
Kimberly: I would say growth would come from patient education and as I’m able to educate my patients on what is happening and watching their progress. It’s that they’ll be able to watch their progress in the treatment and having their trust in me, telling their friends that I’m doing something different than other acupuncturists are doing. It just goes on and on, continuous flow of new referrals and being able to watch patients’ results. And it has helped my income grow tremendously.
